La Armada ha asumido este 2026 la presidencia del Foro de Funciones de Guardacostas del Mediterráneo (MCGFF por sus siglas en inglés), una responsabilidad que sitúa a España en una posición destacada en el impulso de la cooperación internacional en materia de seguridad y protección marítima de esta región.

Shipping remains at a standstill in the Strait of Hormuz despite the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran, dampening hopes for a resolution to one of the worst global energy disruptions in history.

Only a handful of vessels have transited the critical strait since Washington and Tehran on Tuesday announced a two-week pause in fighting, according to ship tracking data.

The Strait of Hormuz has not opened to ship traffic after the U.S. and Iran agreed to a two-week ceasefire, said the CEO of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) on Thursday.

“This moment requires clarity,” said Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber in a social media post. “So let’s be clear: the Strait of Hormuz is not open. Access is being restricted, conditioned and controlled.”

 

Iran has made clear that ships must obtain its permission to pass through the Strait, Al Jaber said. “That is not freedom of navigation. That is coercion,” the ADNOC chief said.

Situación del tráfico marítimo paralizado en el Estrecho de Ormuz  se puede apreciar en la web Marine Traffic.

Las amenazas, las violaciones y las negoociaciones continúan.

Miles de barcos están atrapados en el interior del Golfo Pérsico esperando la autorización para librarse del infierno en el que se encuentran.

 

Situación del tráfico marítimo en el Estrecho de Ormuz a las 05-30 de esta mañana (hora española) La imagen, que ha sido captada de Marine Traffic, confirma el enjambre de barcos que hay actualmente en el interior del golfo Pérsico.

A la otra parte del Estrecho, en el Golfo de Omán, también se aprecia una gran concentración de barcos.
