OF SHORE ENERGY
As per the China Classification Society (CCS), a new generation of 130m Chuanjiang standard bulk carrier, Chang Hang Huo Yun 002, which is a green and intelligent ship solely fueled with LNG, has been launched.
Courtesy of China Classification Society (CCS)The ship, with a deadweight of 9800 tons, is under construction by Zhijiang Shengmao Shipyard for China Yangtze Shipping Group.
CCS, which conducted the plan approval and new building survey, stated the ship complies with the Green Ship-2 standard as specified by its Rules for Green Ships on Inland Rivers.
In terms of power, CCS said the vessel engines are solely fueled with LNG, and compared with diesel fueling, it can reduce emissions of carbon

A gas tanker that caused an oil spill in the Bay of Gibraltar was detained by port state control and the Gibraltar Port Authority [GPA] on Tuesday as an investigation was launched into what happened.
The GPA activated its anti-pollution plan alongside the Department of the Environment early Tuesday morning following a report that oil had spilt into the sea as the liquefied petroleum gas carrier Gas Venus took on fuel a short distance

La ministra española de Transportes, Raquel Sánchez Jiménez, dice que FuelEU proporcionará seguridad jurídica a los operadores de buques y productores de combustible.
La legislación europea FuelEU ahora ha sido adoptada por el Consejo Europeo y entrará en vigencia a partir de enero de 2025, aunque algunos requisitos entrarán en vigencia a partir del 31 de agosto de 2024. La legislación ha estado en proceso durante unos dos años .
“La nueva ley brindará seguridad jurídica a los armadores y productores de combustible y ayudará a poner en marcha la producción a gran escala de combustibles marítimos sostenibles, cumpliendo así sustancialmente con nuestros objetivos climáticos a nivel europeo y mundial”, dijo Raquel
