Noruega ha extendido una larga sombra de sospecha sobre Navantia, al hacerse públicas las primeras conclusiones de las investigaciones que se llevan a cabo sobre el accidente de la fragata Helge Ingstad, fabricada en el astillero de Ferrol. Miembros de la Comisión de Investigación de Accidentes de Transporte noruega han apuntado a fallos en la estanqueidad del buque, lo que han considerado un error crítico de los barcos. The two companies have signed an ‘exclusive Teaming Agreement’ to bid for the Fleet Solid Support Ship (FSS) contract with BMT listed as an exclusive subcontractor should the team win the contract.
The teaming follows a troubled year for Harland and Wolff which went into administration last August and was later acquired by InfraStrata.
In a press release Team Resolute wrote: “Team Resolute combines 159 years of shipbuilding experience at one of the UK’s biggest shipyards, including the two largest dry docks in Europe, with unrivalled auxiliary design experience from UK designer BMT and a world-leading auxiliary shipbuilding track record from Navantia.”

QATAR Petroleum has signed an agreement to reserve LNG ship construction capacity at Chinese yards, in order to ensure that it can meet its future LNG carrier fleet requirements, including those related to the vast North Field expansion.
The agreement was entered into between Qatar Petroleum and Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co Ltd (Hudong), a wholly owned subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC).
