IMO.- International Convention on the Removal Wrecks

International Maritime Organization (IMO) has announced that the Nairobi International Convention on the Removal Wrecks will enter into force on April 14, 2015. The convention was deposited on Monday after ratification by Denmark, the 10th country to ratify the convention and thereby triggering its entry into force a year later. The Convention was adopted in 2007 at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (Kenya) by a 5-day International Conference.
The International Convention will provide the first international rules that will ensure the prompt and effective removal of wreckage located beyond territorial sea of a country. It also features a clause enabling States Parties to "opt in" to apply some provisions to their territory (territorial sea included). The International Convention will provide a solid base for States

La fundición Nao Victoria hace posible que una réplica del buque Real Fernando, popularmente conocido como el Betis, vuelva a navegar por el Guadalquivir.
La Asociación Española de la Marina Civil celebra que se recupere la historia de un buque que marca un hito muy destacado en la Historia de la Marina Civil por dos razones fundamentales:
Por ser el primer barco de vapor que tuvo España, anticipándose a la Armada Española.

La falacia naval continúa su delirante expansión ante el silencio de un Ministerio de Cultura al que los asuntos marítimo0, en general, le resultan lejanos.
Después de 48 años de régimen democrático, la Historia de la Marina Civil continúa lastrada por el rancio militarismo naval decimonónico.
La asignatura de Historia de la Marina Civil ha sido erradicada de las Escuelas Superiores de la Marina Civil.
A poco que se investiguen las versiones oficiales sobre la Historia de la Marina Civil afloran los vacíos, las incongruencias, los arreglos, la tendenciosidad naval e incluso la falta de rigor y fundamento.
Juan Sebastián Elcano, que culminó como capitán de la Marina Civil la primera vuelta al mundo, nunca perteneció a la Armada Española.
