Mi admirado paisano Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos derrocha en sus reflexiones y escritos la esencia del progreso de la sociedad, el cultivo del conocimiento, la adaptación constante de las normas que han de regir el entendimiento y la convivencia humana, la prioridad del interés general y el bienestar de las personas, buscando la racionalidad y la motivación colectiva.

Su informe sobre la marina mercante, que necesariamente habrá de enmarcarse en la realidad de finales el XVIII, es un magnífico ejemplo de una línea de pensamiento que hoy en día sería muy deseable, pero que lamentablemente está vacía, ausente, siendo la causa principal de la desmoralización y el sin sentido de la condena que pesa sobre la Marina Civil, un sector vital para un país como España.

El ministerio de Transportes anuncia que, 

  • Marina Mercante ha emitido recomendaciones para patrones y usuarios de embarcaciones que se hagan a la mar durante la jornada del eclipse solar total.

  • Salvamento Marítimo movilizará 14 unidades de tipo Salvamar, 10 lanchas de Salvamento y dos remolcadores para dar cobertura de seguridad y asistencia a buques y cruceros en caso de emergencias.
