Lauderdale Marine Center is Florida’s largest yacht facility, spanning 1,600 feet of the New River in Fort Lauderdale. Their 330-ton lift can handle up to a 165-foot yacht; they have dockage for yachts up to 215 feet, and covered work sheds of all sizes throughout the 50 acre complex. The Center offers a wide array of on-site independent craftsmen and resources to complete any repair, refit or refurbishment. Ocean Marine Yacht Center, a certified “clean marina,” is located in Portsmouth, Va. just a half mile south of marker zero on the ICW. The state-of-the-art yacht repair facilities feature a 1,250-ton Syncrolift able to haul vessels up to 240 feet. Jarrett Bay Boatworks (JBBW) is located in Beaufort, N.C. adjacent to mile marker 198 on the ICW. JBBW is the centerpiece of the 175-acre marine industrial park, making up the most comprehensive one-stop service and supply facility on the East Coast. They have a lifting capacity of 220 tons, a deep-water basin and over 1,000 feet of floating dock space. In February 2014, JBBW added an ultra-modern, 30,000 square foot indoor heated facility with a 55-foot clearance able to handle two 100-foot vessels side by side. Thunderbolt Marine is a 25-acre full service yard located just outside of Savannah, Ga. along the ICW. Having a rich military history, Thunderbolt has been handling megayacht service since 2003. There are no air draft restrictions for vessels arriving from Wassaw Sound and the average basin draft is 14 feet. The 1,150-ton Syncrolift can handle vessels up to 180 feet. The large service building includes four bays, some with water, air, electric service and grey-water hookup. Also on premises are electrical, electronic, joiner, machine, paint and weld shops. BAE Systems Ship Repair is located at the intersection of the St. Johns River and the ICW in Jacksonville, Fla. With no air draft limitations and channel depth of 41 feet, access is easy for megayachts of all configurations. BAE has a 14K floating drydock which has a lifting capacity of 14,600 tons with a maximum vessel length of 620 feet and a draft of 30 feet. Rybovich is a full service yard in West Palm Beach, Fla., a short distance from Palm Beach. No stranger to top of the line yacht service, Rybovich has eight dry locations for vessels up to 198 feet, wet slips for vessels to 120 meters and a floating dry dock with 3,000-ton capacity. A 150-ton and a 600-ton Travelift keep work moving smoothly. Rybovich even has its own fleet of tugs. Saunders Yachtworks Gulf Shores, Ala. location is at mile marker 155.5 on the Gulf ICW. Opened in June 2012, this full-service yard has a 150 metric ton Marine Travelift able to handle up to a 130-foot vessel. The yard features an enclosed works building with a 50-foot door able to house up to 130-foot vessels, and a recently added 23,000 square foot undercover building for protected workspace. They also have a 3-ton overhead crane for diesel engine service and repowers. ICW access is dredged to 12 feet with a 73-foot air draft restriction to the west, 54-foot to the east. Bradford Marine Fort Lauderdalehas been located just five miles up the New River from Port Everglades since 1966. They are the largest full-service undercover yacht repair yard and the largest in-water, undercover repair and refit facility in the world. The 300-ton Syncrolift marine elevator can handle vessels of 150 feet in length.

Bradford Marine, Bahamas is located at the entrance to Freeport Harbor on Grand Bahama Island. This still growing facility can haul out vessels up to 230 feet and 1200 tons. Derecktor is located in Dania, Fla., less than one mile from the Port Everglades entrance. The most complete megayacht repair and refit facility in Florida now has an 820 metric ton Cimolai mobile boat-lift offering the ability to block up to eight mega-yachts at one time. The facility can service yachts up to 210 feet with a 40-foot beam and a 14-foot draft. There is a 125-foot air draft restriction for power lines at Dania Cutoff.
