Como la MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company anunció recientemente, se llevó a cabo un cambio de propiedad en el último trimestre de 2025. International Seaways reported net income of $286 million for the first quarter of 2026. This performance represents the strongest quarterly results for the company since the end of 2022.
Revenue for the period increased to $325 million from $183 million during the first quarter of 2025. International Seaways attributed the growth to higher spot earnings across its fleet, which rose by an average of approximately $30,000 per day.
The crude tanker segment generated shipping revenues of $191 million during the three-month period. Average spot earnings in this division exceeded $41,000 per day as market demand remained high.

El «Passió per Formentera» se ha incorporado este martes a la línea Playa Blanca-Corralejo en sustitución del «Volcán de Tindaya», que está en varada anual en ASTICAN. Permanecerá en aguas majoreras y conejeras hasta el 26 ó 27 de mayo y volverá después a su tráfico habitual entre Algeciras y Ceuta. Pero detrás de un relevo aparentemente rutinario hay una historia con varias curiosidades que merece la pena contar.
Bautizado en honor a Formentera, el buque solo cubrió la ruta Dénia–Ibiza–Formentera durante los veranos de 2010 y 2011. El resto de su vida la ha pasado cruzando el estrecho de Gibraltar entre Algeciras y Ceuta, donde es considerado por la propia Baleària «el barco más fiable del Estrecho», capaz de mantener cuatro servicios diarios incluso con mal tiempo. Huanghai Shipbuilding yard in ChinaHuanghai Shipbuilding
Euroseas signed contracts for the construction of four additional feeder vessels, expanding its newbuilding programme to 10 ships.
Two specialised 2,800 TEU high-reefer units will be built at Huanghai Shipbuilding in China, while two 1,800 TEU vessels are slated for construction at Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering.
The larger ships are scheduled for delivery in October 2028 and January 2029 at a cost of approximately $46.5 million each. These vessels will feature over 1,000 reefer plugs and follow an earlier order for two similar ships placed with the same yard.
