Go To Service

For over twenty-five years, the International GNSS Service (IGS) has carried out its mission to advocate for and provide freely and openly available high-precision GNSS data and products. IGS was first approved by its parent organization, the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), at a scientific meeting in Beijing, China, in August of 1993. A quarter century later, the IGS community gathered for a workshop in Wuhan, China, in October/November 2018 to blaze a path to Multi-GNSS through global collaboration.

At the heart of the IGS is a strong culture of sharing expertise, infrastructure, and other resources for the purpose of encouraging global best practices for developing and delivering GNSS data and products all over the world. The collaborative nature of the IGScommunity, which as of 2019 includes over 140

"It is really strange that everything looks normal outside, but people inside are not calm," says the Pakistani sailor, who doesn't want to use his real name.

Things may look normal in this part of the Gulf, but they are certainly not. Khan and 20,000

Libya – An economic report published by the Gulf Business Outlook website says the crisis in the Strait of Hormuz has boosted Libya’s oil sector.

The report noted that major oil companies are returning to Libya after nearly two decades away. This renewed interest comes as North African oil becomes more attractive amid instability in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report, authorities in both eastern and western Libya now share a common goal: maximizing energy revenues. This cooperation is emerging despite ongoing tensions between the two sides. The goal has become more attainable due to disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz, through which about one-fifth of the world’s supply of oil and liquefied natural gas passes.
