The Nautical Institute Singapore Branch announced the confirmed speakers for its annual conference happening on 1 September 2022 at the Suntec City Convention Centre.

Guest of Honour, Ms. Quah Ley Hoon, Chief Executive of Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), will deliver a speech at the conference. Capt André L. LeGoubin MNM MA FNI, President of The Nautical Institute and Mark Cameron, Chief Operating Officer, Ardmore Shipping Corporation will be giving respective keynote addresses.

With the theme, “Navigating Through the Digital Age: Towards a Green Future” delegates will be immersed in presentations and panel discussions that touch on the navigational practices used onboard modern ships and the challenges that will be faced in the future as technology

The Arctic magnetic pole does not move anymore. It runs, faster and faster. In recent years, even faster than expected. El Consejo de Ministros aprobó ayer el real decreto propuesto por el Ministerio de Transportes para regular los títulos profesionales y de competencia de la marina mercante, con el fin de establecer las condiciones esenciales de estos títulos para los miembros de la dotación de los buques civiles españoles.

El texto establece los requisitos generales para la formación y evaluación de los marinos con titulaciones universitarias y de formación profesional, las condiciones generales

Pontevedra el pasado 25 de marzo en el puerto de Aguete, en Marín IES SÁNCHEZ CANTÓN

La salida de los estudiantes del IES Sánchez Cantón tendrá lugar este viernes desde el puerto de As Corbaceiras

Un grupo de alumnos del IES Sánchez Cantón de Pontevedra van a realizar una práctica en el interior de la ría de Pontevedra para localizar la posición de un barco. La actividad consistirá en medir dos ángulos horizontales y, usando el método de arco capaz, determinar la posición en la que se encuentre el buque, explica el profesor de Matemáticas del centro, Jose Benito Búa Ares.
