China, world’s top oil importer, will receive its first Golden Arrowhead crude cargo from Guyana in December, according to trade sources and shipping data, as producer CNOOC seeks to expand markets for the new grade.

CNOOC loaded the one-million-barrel cargo onto very large crude carrier Sophia on November 3 which will discharge its cargo on December 15 at Huizhou in southern Guangdong province where CNOOC operates a refinery, data from shipping analytics firm Kpler showed. The tanker is also carrying about 800,000 barrels of Liza crude for Huizhou, the data showed.

BW Offshore reported an EBITDA of $43.9 million for the third quarter of 2025, a decrease from $57.1 million in the previous quarter.

The company stated the reduction was primarily due to the recognition of one-off revenues in Q2. Net profit for the third quarter was $23.3 million, compared to $24.6 million in Q2.

A key operational highlight for the quarter was the FPSO BW Opal achieving "ready-for-start-up" (RFSU) and first gas on September 16 for the Santos-operated Barossa LNG project. This milestone triggered the commencement of 60 per cent of the contractual dayrate.

The vessel is expected to reach 100 per cent dayrate and revenue recognition upon practical completion

Greenpeace is calling for an end to the uranium trade between France and Russia after reporting that it has resumed after a nearly three-year hiatus. The group released pictures of containers with spent uranium being loaded onto a cargo ship in the port of Dunkirk and bound for Russia.

At least 10 containers of uranium, clearly marked with dangerous cargo symbols, were observed arriving in the port of Dunkirk, France, on Saturday, November 15, and being loaded aboard the cargo ship Mikhail Dudin (3,030 dwt). Built in 1996, the general cargo ship is owned by a company based in Hong
